Lecture to Quiz is run by Grant Mwakyembe. This explains what it collects, why, and who it's shared with. Contact: lecturetoquiz.help@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Your email address, to sign you in and link your purchases to your account.
- What you upload (lecture text, YouTube links) and what you create (flashcards, challenges, the code you submit and hints you receive).
- Usage counts (how many lectures and hints you've used) to apply plan limits.
- Your IP address, briefly and in memory only, to stop abuse (rate limiting).
We don't see or store your card details. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Who processes it
- Anthropic (Claude AI): your lecture text and submitted code are sent to generate flashcards, challenges and hints. Anthropic doesn't use API data to train its models by default.
- Judge0: the code you run is executed on their servers to check it against the tests.
- Lemon Squeezy: processes payments as merchant of record and receives your email and billing details.
- Brevo: sends your sign-in emails.
- Render, Neon and Cloudflare: host the app and its database.
Some of these providers are outside Australia, mainly in the United States and the EU.
How long we keep it
Your lectures and account stay until you delete them or ask us to delete your account. Sign-in links expire after 15 minutes and sign-in sessions after 60 days.
Age
The service is for people aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
Your choices
You can delete any lecture from the app. To get a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account, email us and we'll do it within 30 days. Payment records are kept by Lemon Squeezy as tax law requires.
